Yong Sik Kim, M.D., Ph.D

Dr. Kim earned his M.D/Ph.D. at the Kyung Hee University in Korea. After graduation, He had been trained in General Surgery Program at the Kyung Hee Medical Center in Korea. He practiced as General Surgeon in Korea for a while. Then he moved to US for research and had finished postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Surgery, UT-Houston Medical School in Houston, Texas. He completed the residency of Family Medicine in Baylor College of Medicine, Houston to pursuit the holistic approach of medical practice. He had served as medical director of Healthcare for Homeless Houston. He is currently serving the homeless patients at the same institute as Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine. He is board certified in Family Medicine.


Dr. Kim currently serves as Vice President of the Korean American Mission Health Council and a local representative at Texas Chapter. He has served as General Secretary of Korean Christian Medical Fellowship and participated in several medical missions to Nepal, Philippine, Honduras, Navaho Indian Reservation, and Dominic Republic. He is actively involving in health related educational approaches at the immigrant community to promote health status of immigrants in Houston. He is the CEO of the Green Health Clinic in Houston.

Jane, his wife, is a counselor and has finished M.Div. from Houston Graduate School of Theology. They have one daughter, Ue-Jin, and two sons, Ue-Sin and Eu-Bin.
