Ted Lankester, MD

Ted Lankester is the Director of Health services and Co-Founder of InterHealth, London, an international health centre which provides integrated pre and post departure health care for missionaries, aid workers and government members from 300 different organisations, through a team of 25 physicians, psychologists and nurses.

He is also the Director of Community Health Global Network, which links together those involved in community empowerment programmes in a number of countries.

He is the author of several books including the Travellers Good Health Guide, and Setting up Community Health Programmes: a practical manual for use in developing countries, published by Hesperian.

Ted has has had a varied career, first working as a family doctor in London and then spending 8 years setting up health programmes in remote Himalayan communities in North india.

He now also works as a clinician, writes and speaks widely and has travelled to more than 50 countries.

His main passion is the revitalization of health care mission worldwide in ways which are professional, innovative, compassionate and relevant to current world needs and cultural sensitivities.
