Susan K. Fuentes, RN, MSN is the President of Los Angeles Christian Health Centers (LACHC).  LACHC is the new name of what was known as the Los Angeles Mission Community Clinic.  Fuentes was named the Executive Director of the Los Angeles Mission Community Clinic (LAMCC) in the Fall of 2007.  Prior to that she was the Director of Nursing at LAMCC held the position of Vice President of the QueensCare Health & Faith Partnership, a faith community based health promotion program in metro Los Angeles.

Fuentes earned a Bachelor of Science degree from PointLomaNazareneUniversity, and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from AzusaPacificUniversitywith Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification.  She has published works in several books and articles, and completed her thesis on “The Effects of Parish Nursing on Client Wellness.”

Fuentes has received numerous awards for her work with underserved communities, most notably the Hollywood Woman of Distinction Award in 2005 and the 2000 Alumnus-of-the-Year Award from PointLomaNazareneUniversity.  AzusaPacificUniversityinducted her into its Academic Hall of Fame in 2000.  But, she considers her most rewarding achievement to be her marriage of 28 years to Rudy, and being mom to her three sons.
