Mary Roh, MD


Dr. Mary Roh and her husband, Dr. Daeyoung Roh are both medical doctors. As board members of Wheat Mission Ministries, they have taken medical teams into North Korea. These teams of doctors from the United States as well as South Korea have had unique opportunities to have direct contact with NK citizens and physicians. They have taught NK doctors the latest in medical technology by lecturing and performing successful surgeries in fields of neurosurgery, colorectal surgery, cochlear ear implant surgery, laparoscopic surgery, hip and knee replacement orthopedic surgeries, cleft lip surgery, and various OB/GYN surgeries. The relationships that have been established with NK doctors and citizens have laid a foundation for transfer of not only technological skills but opportunities to affect change of personal values and ideas.

Drs. Mary and Daeyoung Roh live in Southlake, Texas near the Dallas/Fort Worth area and have 3 children ages 22, 20 and 17. Dr. Mary Roh is currently on staff in the Pediatric Department at the John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
