Mary Chase-Ziolek Ph.D, RN

Mary Chase-Ziolek, PhD, RN is the Director of the Center for Faith and a Professor of Health Ministries at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago. In addition to her faculty responsibilities, she is the health ministry liaison for the Evangelical Covenant Church. Prior to coming to North Park, Dr. Chase-Ziolek was the Coordinator of Geriatric Health Ministry at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where she developed an ecumenical, multiethnic network of congregations with nurses and other volunteers involved in health promotion. Dr. Chase-Ziolek has published and presented widely on topics of faith and health. Her book Health, Healing and Wholeness: Engaging Congregations in Ministries of Health, was published by Pilgrim Press in 2005. She earned her doctorate in nursing from Loyola University Chicago; a master’s degree in public health nursing from the University of Illinois Medical Center, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Rush University, and a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Beloit College. She and her husband Keith are members of North Park Covenant Church.
