Daniel W. O’Neill, MD



Dr. O’Neill is a disciple and bond-servant of Jesus Christ. Because of Him he is serving as a sender and mobilizer for global missions, and has been participating in or leading short-term healthcare missions in hospitals and clinics in both urban and rural setting in Latin America, India and Africa since 1992. He is a Family Physician working in a Christian group practice in Northeast Connecticut and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He recently published a research article in the Evangelical Missiological Society volume Effective Engagement in Short Term Mission: Doing It Right. He works with other practitioners and scholars on the Best Practices in Christian Healthcare Mission team that seeks to honor God by developing and promoting consensus guidelines for the planning, execution, integration and follow-through of effective cross-cultural healthcare missions. He is also a graduate student in theology at Bethel Seminary of the East, a world missions elder at his church, and the husband of Maria and the father of three children.
