Your Home for the Missional Health Movement

Ellie Goolkasian, RN

Ellie Goolkasian Lugo serves as the supervisor of the medical center at "Foundation For His Ministry" (FFHM) in Vicente Guerrero, Baja California, Mexico. This mission is Christ-based and includes an orphanage, a Bible Institute, a dayhome for disabled children, and an outreach department.

She also has a writing ministry by which she raises awareness and prayer for the poor. As "Luci," a professional Christian clown, she presents health and gospel lessons to children. Her husband, Enrique, is in his last year of the Mission's Bible Institute. He is a gifted worship leader and serves as pastor of a church in Colonet, Mexico.

Ellie has been a registered nurse since 1976. She's worked fourteen years in ICU units in the San Diego area, several years in outpatient surgery, and nine years as a hospice nurse for The Elizabeth Hospice in Escondido, CA.

Over a period of six years, she made many two-day trips to FFHM with Dr. Arnold Gorske, creator of the "Health Education Program For Developing Countries." During this time she recognized the potential harm from drug-based healthcare and the desperate need to teach the poor how to prevent their worst diseases.

In 2007, God called her from her home church, Solana Beach Presbyterian Church, to Mexico where she's now served full-time for two years. FFHM Is one of the largest host-Missions in the world, with nearly 3000 short term missionaries each year. Since many doctors and nurses volunteer at the medical center, Ellie welcomes the opportunity to educate them in the "most excellent way" of healthcare: Best Practice medicine, lots of teaching, listening and prayer.

She and her associates lead abused women into awareness, forgiveness and salvation. Her goal is to give power and freedom to the poor through knowledge of holistic healthcare and the victory of the gospel.
