James A. Lindgren, M.D.





Known to most as simply “Dr. Jim”, Dr. Lindgren was born and raised in Tumwater, Washington. He graduated from Tumwater High School and Western Washington University before completing bible and ministry training through Global University and at Calvary Temple Church in Bellingham, Washington. After leaving a youth ministry position he attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Dr. Lindgren completed residency at Good Samaritan and Phoenix Children’s Hospitals in Phoenix, Arizona. He is board certified in 4 medical specialties (Disaster Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics).

Dr. Lindgren is founder and director of Window of Hope, a global medical and humanitarian mission. He has led numerous medical mission outreaches and disaster relief efforts around the world.

He has collaborated with the U.S. Military, The World Health Organization, Luis Palau Evangelistic Association, World Vision, Mercy Ships, Convoy of Hope, SEND International and Operation Blessing Africa. In the past Dr. Lindgren served as medical director for South Africa Medical Mission in Durban, South Africa.

Dr. Lindgren is Chairman of the National Steering Committee for the U.S. Standards of Excellence in Short-Term Mission (SOE). He is ordained with the Arizona District of the Assemblies of God.

Dr. Lindgren is married, and resides with his wife Mónica in the Desert Southwest (Mónica was previously an STM facilitator with Christ for the City and hails from San José, Costa Rica).
